Before & After - MIKE
I'm doing a speaking gig at Mt. San Jicento College (north of San Diego) on Feb 17th and the Professor Melissa asked me for an edgy photo of a groom in glasses. It took me a while to find the right one but I think this works. Check the blog later for more information on the speaking engagement; it'll be open to the public.

Before & After - Arizona Sunset
Julie and I took the kids to Arizona for a corporate event we were photographing a couple of weeks ago and, being the freak I am, pulled over to the side of the road to grab this shot. Notice all of the tire rubber on the side of the highway (typical for any interstate highway).
The shot is super sloppy so don't be too critical. But, I just wanted to show what can be done with a photograph that, at first sight, looks like trash.
This is a High Dynamic Range composite of the images below. The best elements of the three images are combined into the final product, then tweaked out in Photoshop. I didn't realize how much dust was on my camera sensor until I took this shot...

Before & After - Sheri
I own the very best camera equipment that exists for wedding photography. Even still, the image on the left is the hightest quality I can achieve under the given circumstances. The image on the right is what can be created in Photoshop. And it prints WAY BETTER than the quality you can see on screen. This is just moments before Sheri walked down the aisle to get married :)

Before & After - Kellie & Matt
Another cool shot from Friday's wedding. I was told that there were 25 foot waves just south of Newport Beach. You don't see them in this shot, but just ten feet to the right of Kellie and Matt were earth movers, building 10 foot mounds of sand to protect the surface streets in case the waves got out of control.

Before & After
Retouching is an art that has to be seen to be appreciated. We have recently brought on a new employee, Vince, who is one of the best photoshop guys I've seen. The model below, Michelle, is quite beautiful but had a bit of a problem with acne scarring. Today, there is SOOO much that can be done to erase minor imperfections. Notice also how she fills out her dress in the edited photograph...
