This is my third wedding at Lake Oak Meadows in Temecula. Damn, I love that place. If you saw my house you would understand. When I need a break from work I usually head out into my own garden and maintain my labor-intensive yard. So, when I walk onto the property at Lake Oak Meadows I have an appreciation for the amazing landscaping and my mind goes bonkers with the photo opportunities.
Sara and Erik are both in advertising in Los Angeles and so they naturally have a hypersensitive sense for beauty and balance. So it's no surprise that they chose such a beautiful venue for their wedding.
The last time I photographed at Lake Oak Meadows it was for the owner's daughter (Colby)... and it was 110 degrees. I remember thinking how nice it would be to photograph the property in the Spring. Well I had my chance last Saturday.
Sara and Erik were dream clients. They are both attractive, DEEPLY IN LOVE, and naturally happy people. The day went smoothly, thanks to their Coordinator Layne. It's always nice working with coordinators because everything tends to run on-schedule and without problems.
My favorite moment was just as I was packing up and getting ready to leave. I already said goodbye to Sara and Erik when they passed me, hand-in-hand, on their way to the lake for a private Last Dance. Check out the last three photos... I think it says it all.
