Pala Mesa Commercial Shoot

I was hired by one of the local golf resorts to shoot their property for their 2012 marketing materials.  They have invested a lot of money into the property it is absolutly beautiful.  

South Coast Winery - WineMaker's Dinner

I had the honor of photographing the first event ever at South Coast's new barrel room.  It was a very private 'Cocktail Hour' with Jim Carter (SC's owner) and his close friends.  It was so new that they were literally putting in the finishing touches just hours before the party.  

Following was South Coast's lavish WineMaker's Dinner.  The night's special guest was a celebrity chef from Hollywood.  I wish I knew his name but I don't have it.  If you have never been part of a WineMaker's dinner then you're missing out.  It is one of life's great meals!  

Commercial Shoot - Charter Plane

I did a commercial shoot on Thursday with 5-Star Charters.  We met at 5:30am and shot before the sun rose then he took me up and we got some shots of the local mountains.  

We made an arrangement and he will be offering Hulse Photography brides special pricing for flights out to Catalina, Lake Havasu, Las Vegas and The Grand Canyon.  It's an AWESOME opportunity to get some cool engagement photos!!!  

Breast Cancer Awareness

Did you know that 1 in every 8 women in the U.S. will get breast cancer in their lifetimes??? 

Breast Cancer Awareness month was, of course, in October but I felt compelled to share this event I shot earlier in the year.  

Westfield Shopping Malls at UTC (San Diego) generously hosted an awareness party right in the middle of the shopping area and donated $5,000 towards the Susan G. Koman organization.  

It was very well attended and got a ton of media coverage + special appearances by San Diego's mayor, Ms. San Diego and others.  I was honored to be part of the event and will continue to support this cause.

Front Cover

As I was going through a random industry website I ran across an ad for this magazine.  It looks like I made the front cover.  Would have been nice if they gave me photo credit.  Or perhaps asked to use the  photo.

It was taken at South Coast Winery's downstairs courtyard, just outside the barrel room.  

 

Monte De Oro - Party Room

I photographed an Architectural interior shoot for Monte de Oro last week.  They set it up four different ways for four different uses. It is an awesome choice for parties of around 50 guests.  My favorite part of this room is the fact that it is surrounded on three sides by french doors.  Plus it opens up to an outdoor patio with a fireplace.  

 

Private Party @ Culy, San Diego

Decor of the Year

I photographed a fundraiser in San Diego that is absolutely the event of the year.  It was at a private residence and they built a temporary ballroom over his pool.  The dance floor was lit up and they laid plexiglass so u could see into the pool.  All of the flowers were simple paper lit by LED lights that changed through the evening.  

The party was amazing too but sorry, I can't show faces for this one.  

 
 
 

Pandora - Hollywood, CA

I photographed Pandora's holiday party at the Soho House in West Hollywood (an exclusive club for Hollywood elite).  Pandora rented out the whole level.  Great event and much more low-key than I expected.  

Check em out if you aren't already familiar with Pandora.  I've had their music iPhone app loaded for the last 3 years and listen to it all the time.  Over the holidays we listened to 3 or 4 of their Christmas channels.  

It's always cool photographing for a businesses I already use.

BTW, I'm a big fan of old books and I was absolutely fascinated by the books they had a Catholic songbook on the table from 1777.  I had to get a few photos (for your viewing pleasure).
