I am at Balboa Park (San Diego) all the time for engagement sessions but this was the first time I photographed a wedding there.  Not only did it rock, but the bride and groom were insanely beautiful people.  Below is Jenna.  I'll post more photos later when I'm finished editing.

Christina and her Shoes

I had the honor of photographing Christina's Bridal Portrait.  As many people know, Julie is a jewelry designer and is always open to a creative challenge.  Christina asked if it was possible to cover her shoes in Swarovski crystals.  Julie's immediate answer was Yes.  I think they came out beautifully.  A nice match for the beautiful bride who's feet graced them.

Darlene's Bridal Shoot

I love studio portraits!  We've studied the New York fashion scene and invested in all the lights and modifiers to get the job done right.  It's nice to have 100% control of the light and the mood of my subject.  

Below is Darlene.  She truly made a stunning bride in her non-traditional wedding dress.  All the detail reminded me of an India dress.  Below are a few out-takes from her one-hour shoot!  I wish we had more time with her...she was really good in front of the camera!  There was NO COSMETIC EDITING on these photos!  Note the light stand in the right corner.

  

 

Allyson - Bridal Portrait

I know this is backwards...but I couldn't post the photos of Allyson's Bridal Shoot until AFTER the wedding.  Under normal circumstances, I'd be in a world of hurt if Alex saw his beautiful bride in her dress before the wedding.  I came to find that Allyson was so excited about her photos that she gave in and showed Alex the photos anyway.  I thought she made a stunning bride.  It is unfortunate that more brides don't opt to have bridal sessions!

Beautiful Heather's Bridal Session

There arent too many brides who make their own dresses!  Heather is the one in a thousand who would even attempt such a project.  And I'd say she did a FANTASTIC job.  For as beautiful as the dress is, it took Heather to make it look stunning!

Jaden's Bridal Portrait

Okay, I have this thing with making brides lay on the ground in their wedding dresses.  Problem is that they generally arent on the same page...especially BEFORE THE WEDDING.  Well, I threw out my ideas and Jaden was up for it all!!!  Understand, I generally wont put a bride in a position where her dress might get dirty or damaged.  However, I do enjoy thrashing the dress after the wedding, when all is said and done.  So, calling all brides...let me photograph you after your wedding and lets see how well the seams hold up!!!

I'm photographing Jaden's wedding in a couple of months and was honored to do her bridal portrait at Thanksgiving Point (Utah).

 

Lauren

Lauren is going to make a Beautiful bride!  She really came alive in front of the camera and made my whole experience a good one.  Believe it or not, but the studio shots below were taken in her hotel room.  Just to her left is the bed and there's a wall to the right; we absolutely tore apart that room to make these photos happen.

The second part of the session was in Laguna Beach, on a very overcast and rainy day.  She doesnt look cold does she?  Well she was!  One concern was that her goose bumps would show up in the photographs.  Dont look too closely, you'll probably see them...
