90% of our clients want a simple engagement session. However, we do appreciate the opportunity to work with couples who want to do something a little different... something that is more of a reflection of who they are.
Lisa and Mike are cowboys to the core. So we took them to the back hills of La Costa and had a great session.
I did a commercial shoot on Thursday with 5-Star Charters. We met at 5:30am and shot before the sun rose then he took me up and we got some shots of the local mountains.
We made an arrangement and he will be offering Hulse Photography brides special pricing for flights out to Catalina, Lake Havasu, Las Vegas and The Grand Canyon. It's an AWESOME opportunity to get some cool engagement photos!!!
I had the privilege of photographing Brittney & Chris' engagement session at the amazing Great Oak in Temecula. The tree is sacred to the Pechanga Indians and is estimated at over 1,000 years old . It has come to embody the identity and character of the Pechanga people: Strength, Wisdom, Longevity and Determination.
I was especially fortunate to have photographed at this location because they do not allow non-tribal members on this site without an escort. Brittney is a tribal member so we got special permission. Thank you to their wedding coordinator, Annette Nielson, for arranging the shoot :)
Jessica came across our website three years ago... far before Cody ever asked her to marry him. And she's been following us ever since. When we met, she treated us like we were celebrities and said a few times how fortunate she felt that we were photographing her wedding.
Now, artists have sensitive egos and and these kinds of compliments go straight to our HEADS. So I'm feeling pretty good right now :)
Photography is obviously very important to Jessica and we were NOT about to disappoint her. We started off at Old Town in Temecula and ended up in a corn field. Jessica and Cody are very much in love and were super easy to photograph. They also came prepared with their own ideas, an outfit change and brought signs for their 'Save the Date' cards.
After our exceptional experience with Jessica and Cody, it's gotten us very excited about their LA wedding next year.
I met Kay and Santiago at a South Coast Winery bridal show. They spent a lot of time at my booth and looked at every photo. They not only looked at them but spent time with each print and appreciated the subtle details. Those kinds of non-verbal communications are the biggest compliment you can give me; I put everything I have into creating images that both of us can be proud of.
Well I feel like I scored with Kay and Santiago because the young love for each other that can't be contained. When I asked them to hold each other they did it with a bit of passion and honesty that translates very nicely in photographs.
I wish I lived closer to Balboa Park!!! I'm down there 2-3 times a month for portrait sessions. And who's to blame people for wanting to be photographed there; it's breath taking!
I photographed Samantha and Carl earlier this week and really enjoyed them. They both were super comfortable in front of the camera, which makes my job really easy.
