Photo of the Day - Dudes on the Beach

I'm just finishing up the final edits from the wedding of Lisa and Johnny in Laguna Hills.  I don't know what my deal is but I put a lot of effort into making the groom and his groomsmen look cool.  These guys were particularly attractive so this shot came easy.

Top 5 Things to Do Before Booking Your Venue 1. Create your guest list.  Have a good estimate of the number if guests your are expecting before booking a room that will not accommodate your high estimate. 2. Understand the minimum expenditure that is required for you to have an event on property.  This number needs to be met regardless of your final guest count. 3. Determine how many out of town guests you will have in attendance.  If the property does not offer accommodations, you may need to provide transportation for your guests to and from the venue. 4. Ask how many weddings they allow on property per day.  You may not want to share your wedding with another bride. 5. Know your budget.  You can estimate your venue costing about 50% of your total wedding budget.

Cake Blunder of the Year

The cake was delivered about an hour before the ceremony and the bakery was responsible for the cake topper.  They got the anagram correct but screwed up on the ethnicity of the couple on the cake top.  Fortunately, Sarah and Bobby just laughed about it!  I did too.

  

 
 

 

Kissing dad is GROSS

my 9-year old daughter, Summer, has recently gone through this phase where she thinks that I am gross.  Along with that is idea that she is too grown up to kiss me.  Mike seems to be going through this as well with his daughters.  

 
 

Ponte Winery - Melissa & Mike's Wedding

I'm just part way through editing Melissa & Mike's wedding at Ponte from last Saturday and immediately fell in love with this one.  It was taken about two minutes after their first kiss and is, without question, my favorite part of the day.  I always try to get as many photographs as possible at during these brief moments because there is such genuine and intense happiness.
